Annual Indianapolis Section of AIChE dinner meeting:
Reservations are needed to Kevin Keating at "email@example.com" or 317-651-1698. Earlier is better for planning and have to be received before the 18th.
Time: Gather 5:30 PM to 6 PM, Dinner 6 PM
Free meal for local section members. $10.00 for non-members or spouses. Alcohol or dessert, if desired, are extra on individual tabs.
Location: The Milano Inn Restaurant, 231 S. College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN
Menu: Platters of food will be served family style with salad, bread sticks, and coffee or tea included in the meal. Expected selections are Veal Marsala (veal sauteed in a tasty dry marsala wine sauce with mushrooms); Chicken Fettuccine (strips of chicken with fresh garlic, white wine, and sauteed onions in a cream and cheese sauce, served with fettuccine noodles); Spinach Lasagna (Wide wavy noodles stuffed with creamed spinach, topped with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and baked "Al Forno"); Ravioli (Tender pasta stuffed with ground beef, topped with homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese).
Directions: It is a few blocks southeast of the downtown Indianapolis circle. Take South street to the east and after the East St. Virginia Avenue intersection, turn north(left)on College Avenue, which is one way north, Milano's is ahead on the east(right) side. Enter the restaurant at the College Avenue door and we expect to be up the spiral stairway in private dining room 5.
Alternative: Take East street south, past Washington St. turn left just behind the Farm Bureau Building onto Louisiana St, continue and turn left onto College Avenue, the Milano Inn is immediately on your right.

Please come and join us for our annual banquet meeting on May 18 at the Milano Inn. Spouses and guests of members are encouraged to attend. This will be an enjoyable time to have dinner and hear about some of the activities by your local section of AIChE, election of new officers, and the award presentation of the "Chemical Engineer of the Year."
Our role as a professional organization can offer opportunities for members to get involved with local efforts to support strengths of our scientific community and promote potential job growth areas. Kristin Jones, Senior Manager, Life Sciences at the Indy Partnership, will be a featured speaker at the meeting. See you at the meeting. Thanks for your support this year.

There are interesting scientific or engineering presentations given every Monday at lunch time at Scientech except for major holidays. On April 12 Technological Advances in the Practice of Opthamology, Aprpil 19 Global Positioning Systems, April 26 Lift Fan/Joint Strike Fighter, May 3 Age of the Universe. The Scientech meetings have a $9 buffet from 11:30 to noon, introductions, and then the presentation from 12:10 to 1:00 PM. Meetings are at the Children's Museum, 3000 N. Illinois St, Indianapolis; use the north entrance under the Infozone sign.
